Flavored with onions, celery, salt, garlic, carrots and bay leaf, this is serious gourmet goodness, great for sipping and slurping in a mug or straight from the jar! Make no bones about it, this is a delicious bone broth of the highest order and you'll go absolutely QUACKERS for it! This protein-packed powerhouse contains 15 grams of protein per cup, much of it in the form of collagen, and in case you were wondering, it does NOT taste gamey! We slow cook this stock for 18 hours because we found that this is the perfect time for maximum nutrient extraction and the best flavor. Cooking for more than 18 hours does not increase the protein amount to any substantial degree and can yield a bitter broth. Even if you don't typically enjoy duck we think you will love the flavor of this broth. In fact, we are not shy to say that the flavor puts standard chicken bone broths to shame, (sorry chickens). Also, duck broth, though filling, does not sit as heavy in your stomach as beef broths can.
