    Surprisingly Tasty

I love the consistency. You eat some and then want more. Really good.

    Delicious alternative to nut butter!

This stuff tastes great! It’s wonderful for dipping fruit or celery in. I have no reactions when eating it so my skin and tummy are happy. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the price. This is more than double the price of peanut or almond butter. I am used to paying extra for most food I consume but it’s hard to justify spending that much more.

    Unexpected Taste, but still delicious!

I didn't like it plain, but on pancakes with maple syrup it is really really good! It would probably . be good in cookies too. Keep in mind, it's runny at first but you're supposed to refrigerate after opening! Also, it has a similar texture to peanut butter because it's a little bit course.

    Love this product line

I love all the Roots Tigernut products, I wish they had more. I am struggling not to eat this whole jar, as I bought this plain style for an AIP candy recipe. Only wish it was a little less expensive. But worth it for those who miss their nut butters.

A nice fill in for nut butters but...

Tigernuts (chufas) are gritty. And this, no matter how finely ground it is, how spreadable - it's still a bit gritty. It is quite tasty though, so if you're okay with the mouthfeel, you'll likely love this. I enjoyed it on pancakes with a touch of maple syrup.

    So good!

I purchased this thinking I could spread it on the freeze dried sweet potatoes which I also purchased from Shop AIP. It is very liquidy and runny so it's not really good for spreading but it's great for dipping! It tastes so sweet and delicious and is super creamy. I love it.

    Beyond delicious

I was hoping this would be a half hearted replacement for almond butter. As a new AIP warrior I miss almond butter SO much. This butter is beyond beyond delicious!!!! It is awesome and our whole family are so happy that we found it. for us, it is even better than almond butter.

    So delicious

This stuff is great. You probably have to like the somewhat gritty texture of tiger nuts to fully appreciate it. Such a treat after not having nut butters for years now!

    Not what I expected!

I was excited to try this, but I was disappointed once I did.
First, there was no "nutty" smell. Then, it was much thinner (runny) than any nut butters I've had. Then, the taste...it didn't taste nutty at all, and it was very gritty in my mouth!
I will try to use it in some sort of recipe just so it doesn't go to waste.

Ps. Tigernut Flour is great for a breading for fried fish!
